9,280 ft.
That’s the elevation at the base of the mountain where we’ll be having our conference. It’s very important to take care of yourself to make sure you have a fun and safe trip to Colorado. Here are a few tips to remember.
Climb Slowly
Give your body time to adjust to the elevation change. If possible, arrive early and give yourself a day to acclimate before doing anything strenuous.
Drink Water
One of the best things you can do is make sure you drink enough water.
Eat Carbs
Yes, you heard me. Go ahead and eat that bread, pizza, or pasta. You’ll need more calories and carbs can help.
Limit Alcohol
Alcohol at altitude affects your body and brain more than at sea level or normal elevations. Limit your alcohol consumption.
Take it easy
Don’t do too much, don’t go too fast. Less oxygen at altitude makes it harder for your body to recover.
